Pathfinder Chronicles: Heroes of the Mists
A monstorusly big man of mixed descent, Adril Hestram’s blubbery bulk hides massive muscles. He claims to have come from the north, but remains unspecific about his homeland. Though his face is worn and bedraggled, his eyes still glimmer, and he retains an easy, gap-toothed smile behind a tousled beard. Aside from adventuring, Adril likes to drink and arm-wrestle, in that order. An able warrior and veteran of countless dungeon delves, he’s the most prominent venture-captain concerned with exploring the various siege castles beyond Absalom’s gates. Every year, Adril takes a handful of favorite Pathfinder initiates under his wing, and sometimes escorts them to interesting local sites, though never anything overly dangerous. Some Pathfinders suggest that he has inappropriate relationships with his more attractive proteges, but even if that is so, there have been no complaints from the initiates involved. This year, 4709 AR, he took a liking to the three misfits of the current batch of recruits, the half-orcs Grimgor and Jonas and the enigmatic but clearly purposeful Tengu Tikki. Though all at the Grand Lodge made it clear that there were to be no prejudices based on race or creed, it was still hard for the other initiates to accept these three; because of this Adril saw a bit of himself in them, and began to focus more attention on this group that soon showed great potential. he was particularly pleased to find a drinking companion in Grimgor. When news of Lugizar’s strange actions and Nigel’s subsequent involvement came to him, he knew that he proteges would be the perfect ones to handle the situation, as well as make amends between himself and Nigel. Adril was proud when his trust in them was proven right, and they earned their place as the newest Pathfinder Field Agents.
